  • About Committee

Muster is observed in over 300 locations worldwide, with the most prominent ceremony taking place on the Texas A&M campus in College Station. The Campus Muster Committee, operating as a student organization since the 1950s and currently under the umbrella of the Student Government Association (SGA) at Texas A&M University, plays a pivotal role in coordinating every facet of this significant tradition. From orchestrating the campus keynote speaker and planning the barbecue to raising awareness and overseeing the roll call, this committee diligently upholds the spirit of Muster on campus year after year.

Comprising 30 students selected through an application process in the Fall, the Muster Committee ensures the seamless execution of the event. Additionally, Muster Hosts, who offer extra support to honored families on the night of Muster, are recruited through applications accepted in the Spring semester. Together, this dedicated committee and its hosts contribute to the meaningful and successful continuation of the Muster tradition at Texas A&M University.
